Montelektro’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Edvin Šafranko, participated in the panel discussion “The Freshmen Are Asking – What Does the Electrical Engineering Study Program Offer?” organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of Zagreb University on March 22nd, 2023.
The panel discussion gathered over a hundred first-year students of the Faculty searching for answers to questions about what they can expect if they choose electrical engineering and information technology study.
By sharing their experiences, prominent Croatian business people and former electrical engineering students explained what career opportunities the electrical engineering degree can provide to those chosen and which areas the electrical engineering profession covers.
Mr. Šafranko, Master of Electrical Engineering, has told his story of how he became the CEO of one of the world’s leading system integrators companies in the brewing industry and which incredible experience he gained by working as an automation engineer and project manager on various project in steel and brewing industry across the world.
Besides gaining valuable expertise and knowledge, the electrical engineer career brought him many opportunities to travel abroad and introduce the different cultures, gastronomies, and countries. All panelists agreed that the electrical engineering career could bring many challenges and excellent opportunities for their professional and personal growth, which will be even greater in the future.
The panel discussion was just one of the many events the Faculty has been organizing to popularize this specific study.
Thus, a week before, Mr. Šafranko participated in another panel discussion that gathered members of the newly established FER Alumni Board.
The panelists exchange their opinions about the future of automation and its impact on the industry. In an exciting, open discussion, panelists and students spoke about the trends, technology development, and unquestionable development of automation and related disciplines.
