For years, Montelektro has been supporting the organization of the PLC hackathon workshop organized by the Zagreb Branch of the Electrical Engineering Students’ European Association.
As a platinum sponsor of the workshop, Montelektro was in charge of creating a hackathon task that the workshop participants had to resolve within 24 hours.

Damir Habuš, Senior Team Leader and experienced automation engineer at Montelektro prepared a task that included the PLC programming for part of the brewery.

The best results among 24 competitors, divided into eight groups, were achieved by a team consisting of Damjan Korak, Branimir Budija, and Marko Dvorski, who were rewarded with generous financial awards.

Besides testing their knowledge within a hackathon workshop, students also had the opportunity to get more information about Montelektro and its typical automation projects through presentations that Damir Habuš held in October at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of Zagreb University.
