Project Montelektro 4.0.

The project, which lasted 27 months, from June 1, 2021, until September 1, 2023, brought positive changes to strengthen the company.

Montelektro fulfilled its digital transformation goals thanks to the European Fund for Regional Development funds through the Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020 and Recovery Assistance for Cohesion and the Territories of Europe – REACT EU Instrument.

As one of the leaders in the electrical engineering industry, Montelektro has recognized the need to adjust its business to the new technological trends and digitally transform its business model to system integrator 4.0.

Digitalization has become imperative for the competition in the global market, and Montelektro has bravely made a step forward in this process to position itself among the industry leaders.

The main goals of the”Montelektro 4.0″ project were strengthening the company’s competitiveness by improving productional, infrastructural, and technological capacities.

The project has included: the reconstruction of the production business facility in Kastav and adopting advanced technologies and IT infrastructure for digitalization of the production phase of commissioning; purchasing the new technologies for digitalization and automation of the production; innovating the production process and implementing a digital transformation unit.

Besides that, the company held an intensive education program for its employees to gain the new skills and knowledge required for working in a digital environment.

Montelektro has recognized the importance of human resources in the digital transformation process and put considerable effort into establishing a team of experts who have led and supported this change.

With the successful implementation of the project and the adoption of new technological solutions related to green and digital goals, Montelektro has accomplished significant results:

1. The new IT infrastructure for production virtualization and the server “super-computer” have been implemented.
2. The new business-production facility in the Kastav location has been reconstructed.
3. New technologies and technological solutions for electrical cabinet design have been purchased.
4. The company’s business organization has been optimized.

The project’s successful implementation within the next two years will enable the achievement of the following results:

1. Increasing export income by>25 %
2. Increasing sales income by>25 %
3. Preserving 161 existing and opening the 12 new job positions

Montelektro is ready to take a step further in the next business era, empowered by technology, new space capacities, and innovations.
