In October 2021, the Cambodian General Department of Taxation released a directive that obliges all local beer and beverage companies to install the Flow monitoring system developed by Montelektro, whose purpose is to control the quantity of produced beer and beverages.
Before that, the solution has passed a successful pilot implementation in one large brewery in Cambodia.
The obligation includes the installation of a flowmeter, conductivity meter at all packaging production chains, a field control box in the factory, and a direct connection to the electronic network system of GDT.
With this directive, the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kingdom of Cambodia wants to standardize and strengthen the management of all taxation revenues, including a special tax on beer, alcohol, and non-alcohol beverages. It will help them control the tax incomes and compare the production capacity with the tax reports delivered by manufacturing enterprises.
The obligation comes into force in October 2021, and all beer and beverage producers must install the Flow monitoring system delivered by Montelektro latest by the end of the year.
For Montelektro, the directive issued by the highest authorities of the Kingdom of Cambodia presents great recognition and an additional confirmation of its product quality. It also means an extension of successful cooperation with proven suppliers such as Endress + Hauser and Siemens, whose measuring instruments and industrial automation components are used in flowmeter design.
